A natural star, Cristal was born and raised in Hollywood, California. She is a first-generation Mexican American with family from Zacatecas and Sinaloa. Cristal began modeling right after graduating from high school, having been discovered through her social media presence. At the beginning, she was working and representing herself, booking jobs for several e-commerce brands, but as inquiries began to pile up, she decided a manager was a necessity– a shift that catapulted her career. The first job Cristal was really proud of was for Nasty Gal, a brand she had long loved, and seeing herself on their website made her feel like she was walking on clouds. Since then, she has been working with a range of brands, including Amanda Uprichard, Lovers and Friends, Jagger and Stone, and Rat & Boa.
