Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Jacqui Da Costa grew up between the Netherlands and Belgium in a close-knit, multicultural family with Angolan roots, whose love, resilience, and creativity continue to shape her today. Although she had been scouted from a young age, she waited until after finishing high school to pursue modeling professionally, eventually signing with Platform Models after carefully choosing the agency that felt most aligned with her values. Rather than one defining breakthrough, Jacqui's career has been built through a series of standout editorials and campaigns, including Vogue Living, Vogue Netherlands, InStyle Germany, ELLE Belgium, Marie Claire, and the Rabanne Resort SS27 campaign. Outside of modeling, she enjoys sewing and crocheting garments, practicing Pilates, cooking nourishing meals for family and friends, studying herbal medicine, and exploring fashion history, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling.
