About / julia mya
Julia spent most of her childhood growing up in Malibu, California. Her background is a blend of Russian heritage on her mother’s side and African American on her father’s. Scouted at age four, she stepped away from modeling for several years before returning at fourteen, quickly reconnecting with her love for the camera. One of her first modeling jobs took her to New York at Pier 59—her first time ever walking a runway—followed by Paris, which remains one of her favorite experiences. Outside of modeling, she stays grounded through time at the gym and hot Pilates, and enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
